10 Teach what you know story prompts

SFH Autumn (Socials + Websize)-82

A wise woman once told us, teach what you know NOW, then when you know more or learn something new, teach that. But start with what you already know. The fact is, we all already know a heck of a lot and someone somewhere needs to know it too, so what are you waiting for?

This lesson came after a conversation we'd had on repeat for a long time, when imposter syndrome and comparison got the better of us and we were left feeling like whatever we know and wanted to do had already been said and done. But here's the thing, no one is you and that's what makes you different.

Now, as we all embark on a new moment, a new opportunity and a beautiful blank canvas of possibility, we're passing those wise words to you because NOW is your time and the world needs what you've got to offer.

To get you started teaching what you know now, here are 10 storytelling prompts so you can begin sharing the juicy experience, life lessons and wisdom you already have.

Don't think too hard, fill in the blanks with whatever comes to mind and viola, you'll have 10 social media post, emails or blogs ready to add to your 2022 content planner.

Teach what you know and share your experience

To demonstrate how to use these prompts, we've used one of our home-building clients as an example.

1) 11 ways to... add personality to your new home

2) The one thing you can do today to... get your foot on the property ladder

Gabrielle Bernstein

I discovered Gabrielle Bernstein last summer, inhaling her book The Universe has got your back while on holiday in France. Since then I've literally read her entire repertoire. I can't get enough of her positivity and make picking an affirmation card the first task of my day.

Marie Forleo

I discovered Marie Forleo at the end of 2019 and devoured her book Everything is Figureoutable in a day. I love her New Jersey no nonsense approach to problem solving and how she's all about the fun. Because we all need more of that.

Mountains

Mountains, I love 'em. I love looking at them, hiking them and the endless possibilities they hold. Our favourite place to explore in the UK is the Lake District, whenever we have a spare weekend or day, we throw the tent in the car and head to the hills.
