5 reasons why progress is better than perfection:

  1. Progress allows for learning: When we focus on progress rather than perfection, we give ourselves the freedom to try new things, make mistakes, and learn from them. This allows us to grow and develop our skills, knowledge, and abilitiess.
  2. Progress is more achievable: Perfection is an unattainable standard. When we strive for perfection, we may become discouraged and frustrated when we inevitably fall short. Focusing on progress, on the other hand, allows us to set achievable goals and celebrate our successes along the way.
  3. Progress promotes innovation: When we focus on progress, we are more likely to take risks, try new things, and think outside the box. This can lead to innovation and creativity, which are essential for growth and development.
  4. Progress builds momentum: Making progress towards our goals can be incredibly motivating and energizing. When we focus on progress, we build momentum and are more likely to stay motivated and committed to our goals.
  5. Progress leads to greater satisfaction: When we focus on progress rather than perfection, we are more likely to feel satisfied with our achievements. We can appreciate the effort we've put in, the progress we've made, and the lessons we've learned along the way.

We’ll take progress over perfection any day. Because it allows for learning, it’s more achievable, promotes innovation, builds momentum, and leads to greater satisfaction.

By focusing on progress, you can achieve your goals and feel good about your achievements along the way.

Done is better than perfect. We're all perfectly imperfect.

Are you sabotaging your business by striving for perfection with every word, post, email?

When was the last time you had an idea for a post but didn’t end up sharing it because what you created wasn’t perfect and by the time you were happy with it the moment/opportunity had passed?

Seize the moment, share it anyway. It doesn’t have to be perfect - what is perfect anyway?

We’re all perfectly IMPERFECT. And there’s always tomorrow when we get to do it again, but better.

With love,

Laura + Becca

Gabrielle Bernstein

I discovered Gabrielle Bernstein last summer, inhaling her book The Universe has got your back while on holiday in France. Since then I've literally read her entire repertoire. I can't get enough of her positivity and make picking an affirmation card the first task of my day.

Marie Forleo

I discovered Marie Forleo at the end of 2019 and devoured her book Everything is Figureoutable in a day. I love her New Jersey no nonsense approach to problem solving and how she's all about the fun. Because we all need more of that.

Mountains

Mountains, I love 'em. I love looking at them, hiking them and the endless possibilities they hold. Our favourite place to explore in the UK is the Lake District, whenever we have a spare weekend or day, we throw the tent in the car and head to the hills.
