Reevaluate, realign, reroute

Hey storyteller,

Recognising who you’re for and the real value you can add isn’t always an overnight realisation.

It took us a while to figure out. And while there’s been a LOT of work behind the scenes to understand what that gets to look like, the moment we discovered the secret formula, it all became clear and so much easier.

Shifting our focus away from corporate consultancy to supporting the clients we felt true connection - female founders and creatives looking for empowerment through their writing to make a positive impact on people and the planet - it was like we’d discovered a whole new world.

Here’s what we learned to help make writing about your business easier and more impactful:

  • Instead of mapping out a massive range of offers to serve everyone who could possibly benefit from what you know, create offers specifically for those you want to serve, using words that speak directly to where they’re at.
  • Stop trying to cram all your knowledge and expertise into a single offer, keep things simple and directed at what your dream clients desire, listening and shaping the more you learn what they want and need.
  • Tune into your heart to realise your superpowers and the magic you already have to offer by the bucket load. There’s absolutely no need to be like everyone else - listen to what your clients, friends and colleagues say makes you special and share it with the world.
  • Focus on those clients you want to work with and understand where they’re at and what support they want and need. Weaving their words into your copy will help you speak directly to their hearts as well as their minds.
  • Listen to what your audience is struggling with and how you can easily remedy what they’re experiencing. Tune into the transformation they can expect when they say YES to what you’re offering.
  • Be magnetic! Don’t be afraid to use words that will repel as well as attract your audience. Help them recognise whether what you're offering definitely IS or ISN’T for them and move them from maybe to a heck yeah or a hell no.
  • Make it easy, obvious and share it on repeat. Repeat, repeat, repeat.

You’re already incredible. Your message is already powerful. Tune into it and share it with gusto. There are so many people out there who want what you have to offer, make it easy for them.

With love,

Laura + Becca

We're Laura & Becca

We know first hand how life is a big old juggle and we're here for the ride with you. Running a business (and a family) is hard work but we believe writing about it doesn't need to be. We're here to show you how. We're also here for the thrifty finds, adventure and cocktails.

Gabrielle Bernstein

I discovered Gabrielle Bernstein last summer, inhaling her book The Universe has got your back while on holiday in France. Since then I've literally read her entire repertoire. I can't get enough of her positivity and make picking an affirmation card the first task of my day.

Marie Forleo

I discovered Marie Forleo at the end of 2019 and devoured her book Everything is Figureoutable in a day. I love her New Jersey no nonsense approach to problem solving and how she's all about the fun. Because we all need more of that.

Mountains

Mountains, I love 'em. I love looking at them, hiking them and the endless possibilities they hold. Our favourite place to explore in the UK is the Lake District, whenever we have a spare weekend or day, we throw the tent in the car and head to the hills.
